ENHANCED PROGRAM

Participant Expectations

Guest Speaker Series

Monthly

(optional)

Guest presentations in the Speaker Series take place at the start of each month and cover a range of topics that supplement participants’ learning and growth. These presentations are optional, but strongly recommended.

Technical Assistance Sessions

Monthly

Technical Assistance sessions cover a range of topics that dive deeper into the learning material encountered in the modules. Selected topics may include insights from ODHS surveyors, case presentations, and other topics that are identified as areas of need by participants.

Technical Assistance sessions will be offered during two different time slots within the third week of each month so that participants can attend during a time slot that works best for them. Participants are required to attend one Technical Assistance session each month, during the timeslot of their choosing.

Mentor 1:1s

Monthly

Participants receive a minimum of 2 hours of 1-on-1 time per month with their Nurse Mentor. This time is used to discuss challenges participants are facing in their learning, real-world scenarios, etc.

Participants and Nurse Mentors can break up these 2 hours into four 30-minute sessions, two 1-hour sessions, or whatever arrangement best fits their individual needs.

Modules

Monthly

Complete 5 modules per month to stay on track. Each module contains unique learning activities (Checkpoints) and a Final Quiz. To successfully complete the course, and receive a Certificate of Completion, you will need to achieve a passing score of 80% on the Final Quiz.

Discussion Forums

Weekly

Discussion Forums are used to connect peers and Nurse Mentors to discuss topics within the modules, debrief Technical Assistance sessions and Speaker Series presentations, and ponder real-world scenarios.

Required participation includes spending at least 2 hours a month engaging in lively discussions. Participation includes, but is not limited to, asking questions and responding to ongoing discussions. Participants are expected to constructively contribute to the discussions.
