STANDARD PROGRAM

FAQS & Program Requirments

Please read all FAQs before applying to the Enhanced Program.

The Enhanced Program is aimed at providing quality education and support to current CBC nurses and those who are interested in joining the field.

The Program provides access to:

  1. 30 courses created by CBC Nurses for CBC Nurses
  2. CBC Nurse Connect – a community network that includes,
    • Technical Assistance Sessions with CBC Nurse Mentors-Coaches
    • 1:1 mentorship with CBC Nurse Mentors-Coaches
    • Technical Assistance Discussion Forums
  3. Technical Support to address Enhanced Program Participant inquiries, technical issues, or logistical concerns.

The Standard Program is available free to all Oregon Licensed Nurses and includes the 30 Program Courses, but not the discussion forums or mentorship. To take advantage of the free courses, participants in the Standard Program are required to complete all 30 of the courses.

Participants are expected to allocate approximately 10 hours per month towards the Program. This commitment is crucial for reaping the full benefits of the Program and ensuring a cohesive and enriching learning experience for all participants

There will be 3 cohorts, each lasting 6 months. The first will start in March 1 2024, the second will start in September 1 2024, and the third will start in January 1 2025.

Up to 60 learners will be accepted to participate in each of the 3 Enhanced Program cohorts.

Participants in the Enhanced Program are expected to participate in a number of ways, all of which are mandatory. These include Technical Assistance Sessions with the group and led by CBC Nurse mentors; 1:1 sessions with CBC Nurse Mentors; active participation in the Technical Assistance Discussion Forums, and completing all 30 of the courses.

These online sessions are facilitated by the nurse mentors-coaches and allow Enhanced Program participants to ask questions and clarify information related to the Program and courses. Participants are required to regularly interact in Technical Assistance Sessions, with each session amounting to approximately 1.5 to 2 hours per month. Attendance and active participation in these sessions are mandatory unless prior excused absence is granted.

The Technical Assistance Discussion Forums are held on a private virtual platform where nurse learners can interact with nurse mentors-coaches and other participants to discuss a wide range of topics pertinent to community-based care, industry trends, and professional development.

For Enhanced Program participants, a minimum of 2 hours per month is required for participation in discussion forums. Participation includes, but is not limited to, asking questions and responding to ongoing discussions. Participants are expected to constructively contribute to the discussions.

NurseLearn mentor-coach’s hold virtual office hours where they meet with Enhanced Program participants. These one-on-one meetings are a minimum of one hour per month, and are a required part of the Enhanced Program curriculum. Not only are mentorships a defining feature of NurseLearn, these engagements are crucial for personal development and progress within the Program.

Enhanced Program participants are expected to allocate approximately 5 hours per month for completing various course modules, and are required to complete all 30 course modules by the end of the 6 month program. This involves engaging with the course material, completing assignments, and other related activities.
